Yolanda Burgos Auffant

Yolanda Burgos Auffant, age 62, of Tampa, Florida passed away on Friday, February 2, 2024 at St. Joseph Hospital. Yolanda was born in Brooklyn, New York on August 5, 1961. She moved to Tampa, Florida in 1999. Yolanda worked at Children Nest day care as an administrator. Yolanda had a love for sports, she especially loved watching the Bucs, Miami Dolphins, NY Giants, and San Francisco 49rs play. She also loved music like Freestyle, rap and Spanish salsa.

Yolanda was predeceased by her mother, Luz Auffant and her husband, Ruben Aguayo.

Yolanda is survived by her son; Ruben A. Aguayo and daughter; Jessica A. Gonzalez and daughter in law, Lisa Aponte Pitts, and son in law, Jose Jeffries, her brothers; Jose Nieves and Miguel Hernandez and sisters; Rosemarie Lugo and Mercedita Sanchez, her grandchildren; Sylas, Nicholas, Anaya, and Juelz and her step grandchildren; Nini, Jalen, Marcus, Julel, Asia, Jaz and Eli, her nieces and nephews; David Nieves, Stephanie Hernandez and Krystal Nieves, and her many friends who are family to her; Melanie Dempsey (Mel), Liza Jimenez (Lala), Tayna Araujo (Nice One), and Carlos Mantilla (Pitos) and Yolanda had so many more friends and family who cherished her.

A visitation for Yolanda will be held Saturday, February 17, 2024 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Gonzalez Funeral Home, 7209 North Dale Mabry Highway, Tampa, FL 33614, followed by a eulogies from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
