Janie graduated from St. Mary’s Catholic School and carried throughout her life a deep love for her family, faith, community, and proud Czech heritage. She cherished listening to Czech music and spending time surrounded by family and friends.
Janie married Irwin Doye (Bunny) Barron on June 26, 1954 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Taylor. Together they shared 45 wonderful years of marriage. Their life together was filled with dancing, traveling, gardening, raising animals, farming, and supporting their children through countless 4H activities, FFA shows, and anything else they did.
She devoted 39 years of service to Southwestern Bell, currently known as AT&T. During her career, she was honored with the Theodore N Vail Award by Southwestern Bell for heroically helping save a woman’s life.
After Doye’s passing, Janie later married Eldon Lange of Bartlett. Together they enjoyed many happy years, and Janie warmly welcomed Eldon into her active social circle and family traditions.
A woman of steadfast Catholic faith, Janie was a lifelong member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church. She was also a devoted member of the St. Ann’s Altar society and Catholic Daughters and, in 2022, was recognized as the longest-serving member of the Taylor chapter.
Janie was preceded in death by her parents, John Kasper and Bessie Kubicek; her husbands, Doye Barron and Eldon Lange; and her son, Douglas Barron.
