

She and her family moved to Angleton, Texas in 1959 where Lois met James Haag. They were wed on February 9, 1964, and were married for 62 years. They moved to Taylor, Texas in 1967 and lived in Taylor, Round Rock and Rockdale before retiring back to Taylor.
They had two children, Barry and Brenda. She was a wonderful mom and grandmother, known best as “Nannie” to her family. She loved watching the grandkids’ activities and events.
Lois was a homemaker and substitute teacher at Thrall ISD. She loved taking care of her family and had a passion for cooking. Her pies and sugar cookies were legendary at family holiday gatherings. She was a long-time member of the Peace Lutheran Church in Rockdale and the Hutto Lutheran Church where she served on the Church Council, several committees and taught VBS.
She was proceeded in death by her parents, her sister Gladys Aden and brother David Pope. She is survived by her husband James, son Barry Haag and wife Kristi, daughter Brenda Graham and husband Chris, grandsons Blake Haag, Cole Haag, Bradley Graham, Stephen Graham, brother John Pope and wife Sharon, sister Shirley Tinnin and husband Dale, sister Patricia Miller, brother Billy Pope and a number of nieces and nephews.
She will be missed by her family tremendously. Memorials may be made to the Hutto Lutheran church or the American Kidney Fund.
Visitation will be held at Providence Funeral Home in Taylor, Texas on Thursday, February 19 at 10 am. The funeral will follow starting at 11 am. Burial will be at Taylor City Cemetery.
