Ronald “Ronnie” Richardson went to be with our Lord on May 20, 2026 at the age of 80 years old. Ronnie is survived by his wife of 52 years, Isabel, 3 sons, Eric Richardson (Shelia), Keith Richardson (Monica), and Curtis Richardson (Telisha). He is survived by 6 grandchildren, Erika Richardson, Rebecca Richardson, Myah (Mario) Ybanez, Ronnie Richardson, Rhett Richardson, and Joshua Richardson; 1 great grandchild, Karcher Ybanez. Ronnie is also survived by 2 sisters, Sandra Carter and Lori Simpson, as well as 1 brother, Greg Awalt, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Ronnie was a simple, humble and selfless man. He spent his early years in the United States Air Force, building homes with his father, and then a lifetime (42 years) with the Railroad as a brakeman and engineer. He spent time with Southern Pacific, Missouri Pacific, and Union Pacific over his extensive career. In his spare time, he enjoyed spending time with his family, building anything and everything from homes to cars, fishing, hunting, and relaxing at Kentucky Lake. There are 5 homes in Taylor bearing the distinct design and quality construction that became easily recognizable and the hallmark of everything Ronnie did and was.
