

Alberto (Big Al) Morales – Jimenez, 65, of Troy, Texas, departed us on June 30th, 2024. Born June 10th, 1959, to Carmelo Morales and Rosa Jimenez of Puerto Rico. Alberto was known for his kind eyes and big heart. Alberto proudly served in the Army as a Signals Corp TACSAT/MWave Systems Operator, receiving a Bronze Star for his bravery and dedication as a combat veteran during Desert Storm/Desert Shield. After his 14 years of military service, Alberto continued to serve his country as a Telecommunications Specialist for the Temple VA Hospital, retiring with a total of 28 years of honorable service.
Alberto is survived by his loving wife, Leocadia (Milly) Morales, his sons, grandchildren, and a large circle of family and friends.
Alberto's commitment to service, both in the military and as a civilian, touched the lives of many. His kindness, resilience, and dedication will be remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
A visitation will be held at Scanio-Harper Funeral Home located at 3110 Airport Rd. Temple, Texas on July 10th from 5-7PM with a rosary starting at 7PM. Funeral service to celebrate Alberto's life will be held at Scanio-Harper Funeral Home at 3110 Airport Rd. Temple, Texas on July 11 at 10AM, followed by a vehicle procession to Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery located at 11463 TX-195 Killeen, Texas at 1PM. All who knew and loved him are welcome to attend and pay their respects. Though Alberto is gone, he will never be forgotten. His spirit will live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to have known him.
