She taught over 30 years until retiring in 2003 from Temple ISD – her favorite age being kindergarten early learners – with stops at Reagan, Jefferson, Emerson and Scott elementary schools. She was preceded in death by her mother, Mary Haynie McLaughlin, her stepfather, Roby Haynie and brother, James Michael Haynie. She is survived by her daughter, Jennifer Griffith and several cousins.
Ann had a loving heart for her family, friends and the unfortunate members of our community. She especially treasured her relationship with her loving daughter Jennifer and the MANY dogs she acquired through her life. Ann’s kindness and friendly demeanor attracted people to her like butterflies to flowers. She had lasting friendships that started from her early school days to the last years of her life and she will be missed dearly by her family and those that knew her well.
Memorials may be made to any agency that rescues and cares for dogs and other pets.
