Annie Mae Potter

Funeral services for Annie Mae Potter, 95, of Temple will be held at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday at Scanio-Harper Funeral Home with Father Angelo Bertini officiating. Burial will be in Bellwood Memorial Park. Mrs. Potter died Saturday in a Temple Hospital. Mrs. Potter was born in Denton to Charles Shanklin and Alice Nelson Shanklin. She lived in Temple all of her life. She graduated from Temple High School in 1933 and attended Temple Junior College. She married Harry D. Potter in 1945. He preceded her in death May 13, 1964. She was a bookkeeper for Daniels Mens Wear. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church where she was a member of the Altar Society and was a volunteer at Temple APAC. She was also preceded in death by her parents; one brother Harry Shanklin; one sister Alice Cook and grandsons Bobby York and Charles Baird. Survivors include four daughters Bobbieann Hays of New Mexico, Patti Baird Kiemele and her husband John of Temple, Lois Smith and her husband Paul of Morgan's Point and Mary Price and her husband Joe of Houston; seven grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren; three nieces and one nephew. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital. Visitation will be from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Monday at Scanio-Harper Funeral Home.
