A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, October 21, 2025, at Scanio-Harper Funeral Home in Temple, with burial to follow at Hillcrest Cemetery.
Betty was born on May 22, 1933, in Stamps, Arkansas, to Lee Harrison and Lillie (Allen) Green. She lived most of her life in Temple, where she was known for her strong work ethic and generous heart. She worked for many years at Baugh Shoe Factory and later owned several businesses throughout her life. Betty was a member of Heights Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents and all of her siblings.
Betty is survived by her son, Larry Hester and wife DeAnne; grandchildren, Lori Gober and husband Gabe, and Chris Hester and wife Stacy; three great-grandsons, Andrew, Gavin, and Kevin; and special friend, Linda Rance.
