Betty Ann Weaver Chapman, age 94 of Belfalls, passed away Thursday, June 6, 2024 with her loving family by her side. She was born on February 22, 1930 to Porter Henry Weaver and Eva Whitlow Weaver in Belfalls, Texas.
She graduated from Troy High School in 1947 and Temple Junior College in 1949. She married Melvin Kenneth Chapman on August 6, 1949 until his death on May 7, 2010. She was employed by F. W. Woolworth, Production Credit Association, Retail Merchants Association, KTEM and retired from First Federal Savings and Loan of Temple in 1986 after 25 years of service. She was an active member of Oenaville Baptist Church, Troy Senior Trojans, Secretary of Belfalls Cemetery Association and Secretary/Director of O&B Water Supply Corporation.
She is survived by a son, Charles R. Chapman of Temple; granddaughter, Melanie Ann Collier and husband Jason of Belfalls; great grandchildren, Mackenzie Ann, Corban Ray and Kenneth Edward Collier, all of Belfalls; sisters-in-law, Christine Chapman of Lago Vista and Connie Moore of Temple and several nieces, nephews and many friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and a sister, Eva Jean Bulls.
The family will receive visitors from 10-11:00am Thursday, June 13, 2024 at Scanio-Harper Funeral Home with a funeral service following at 11:00am. Burial will follow at Belfalls Cemetery.
