Beverly Ann Wright Hallquist, beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister, grandmother, and friend, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on April 13, 2008. She was born in Waco on November 25, 1942 to W. Howard and Dorothy Wright. Beverly grew up in Temple, graduated from Temple High School in 1961, and continued to cheer the Wildcats on to victory for many years. She attended both Texas Christian and Baylor Universities. Beverly married her husband, Michael Hallquist on April 18, 1965 and provided her family with love and laughter all the days of her life. She was a devoted mother and taught her daughters to love God, to laugh often, to love deeply, and to be sincere. Beverly, a breast cancer survivor touched many lives through her work in the Scott and White "Reach to Recovery" program and prompted many smiles in the Temple College counseling center. Beverly had a beautiful spirit and a strong faith in God. She spent many years attending and leading both Bible Study Fellowship and Community Bible Study in Temple and Plano, Texas. For many years, Beverly was a member of First Baptist Church and enjoyed singing in the church choir. Now she is singing in His presence. She is survived by her husband, her two daughters Shannon Mayes and Jennifer Stringfellow, her father W. Howard Wright, her brother Larry Wright, her sister-in-law Margaret Utley Wright, her sons-in-law Scott Mayes and Mac Stringfellow, and four grandchildren that are just crazy about her: Justin Mayes, Allison Mayes, Isaac Stringfellow and Benjamin Stringfellow. Although we know Beverly is with Jesus, this wife, mother, daughter, sister, grandmother and friend will be greatly missed.
