Clyde Thomas Brock, age 89, of Temple died Saturday, October 16, 2010 in a local hospital. A graveside service will be held at 10:00 AM Monday, October 18 at Greathouse Cemetery with Rev. Judy Hoelscher officiating. Mr. Brock was born on April 2, 1921 in Temple to William G. and Myrtle (McNeill) Brock. He served in the U. S. Army during WWII from 1942 to 1946 in Europe as a TEC4 Sgt. Two years prior to entering the Army he served in the CCC Camp at Bartlett. He married "Lisette" Marie-Jeanne Vergnoux on February 24, 1949. He owned and operated Brock's Courtesy Cleaners in Temple for over 20 years retiring in the early 1970's. He was a member of American Legion Post #133 and VFW Post #1820. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, George and Ernest Brock and two sisters, Gladys Hendricks and Alleen Drake. Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Lisette Brock, two sons, Thomas L. Brock and Michael L. Brock, three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
