

David Allen Buck, age 47, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday, November 1, 2008. Mr. Buck was born on March 23, 1961 in Parma, Ohio. He was the beloved son of Raymond L. Buck and Juanita Buck Butler. Mr. Buck grew up in the Kansas City area and lived in Austin, El Paso, and San Miguel De Allende, Mexico before moving to Temple five years ago. He was a graduate of Olathe High School in Olathe, Kansas and attended Stephen F. Austin State University and also Temple Community College. During his career, Mr. Buck worked in the family's business, ran his own restaurants through the Texas Commission for the Blind, and most recently helped numerous small businesses as a web site designer. Mr. Buck was a skilled bridge player and was a member of Temple and Waco Duplicate Bridge Clubs. He was also an active member of the National Federation of the Blind. Mr. Buck was preceded in death by his father, Raymond L. Buck, on October 22, 1992. He is survived by his mother, Juanita Buck Butler and stepfather Roy Butler of Temple, Texas; his brother Timothy Buck and wife Mary, of Lexington, Texas; his sister Janet Schaffer and husband Troy of Woodway, Texas; and his sister Elizabeth Cueva and husband David of Georgetown, Texas. He also leaves behind many other family members and friends who loved him and will miss him dearly. A celebration of David's life will be held at Temple Bible Church, on Wednesday, November 5th, at 10:30 AM. Graveside services will be at the Cook-Walden Capital Parks Cemetery in Pflugerville, Texas at 2:00 PM. Pallbearers will be Timothy Buck, brother; Troy Schaffer and David Cueva, brother-in-laws, and Ryan Lane, Troy Schaffer Jr. and Malcolm Harmon, nephews.
