

David Wayne Lee, 51, of Durango, Colorado, formerly of Midland and Temple, Texas passed away on Friday, March 21, 2014, at his residence. Services will be held 10:00 a.m. Monday, March 31, 2014 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Temple with Rev. Ranjan Cletus officiating. Burial 1:00 p.m. Tuesday at Bellwood Memorial Park. David was born on June 29, 1962, in Temple, Texas to Henry Isaac Lee and Theresa Marie Wohleb Lee. He attended St. Mary's Catholic School, Lamar Middle School and graduated from Temple High School. He graduated with an Associates degree as a diesel mechanic from TSTI in Waco in August, 1981. He went to work for Phillips Petroleum Co. in Midland, Texas in September, 1981. He moved to Durango, Colorado in March, 2013 where he partnered in business with his 2 best friends, Keith Tucker and Suder Damron. David was preceded in death by his father, Henry, his grandparents, Roy and Mary Wohleb of Cameron and John and Florence Lee of Killeen. He is survived by his mother Theresa M. Lee of Temple, sisters Deborah Lynn Lee-Guthrie and husband Kenith of Carrollton, Virginia, and Theresa Lee Sheeler and husband Mark of Belton. Also his nephews Kenith Dean Guthrie, II of Carrollton, Virginia and Jacob Sheeler of Belton, Texas; his Uncle Roy & Aunt Bea Wohleb of Temple; Uncle Tom & Aunt Evelyn Futschik of San Antonio; Uncle Bill & Aunt Doris Smith of Killeen, his 2 best friends, Keith Tucker and Suder Damron and several cousins. Visitation will be held on Sunday from 5 to 7 pm with rosary at 6:00 pm at Scanio Harper Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be Michael Futschik, Mark Futschik, Willie Smith, Keith Tucker, Chris Wohleb and Stephen Wohleb. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, P.O. Box 841125, Dallas, Texas 75284-1125, or St. Mary's Catholic Church Building Fund, 1018 South 7th Street, Temple, Texas 76504, or charity of choice.
