Dorothy Ann Sirney

Dorothy Ann Sirney, age 78, of Temple, TX passed away on Saturday, April 11, 2015 at her residence. She was born on April 29, 1936 in Temple the daughter of Henry and Rosa Mae Doeckle. On September 29, 1956 in Temple she married Charles Sirney. After becoming a housewife Dorothy really began to develop her artistic ability. She loved to paint oil paintings of nature, quilt, bake, and travel the world in their motorhome. Her favorite destinations were Graceland to see Elvis' home and to Branson, MO to visit a variety of places. Dorothy was involved in the quilt guild and a member of Beta Sigma Phi. Dorothy is survived by her son Steven Sirney of Temple, a granddaughter Shelley and her husband Terry Martinez of Troy, TX, and a great-grandaughter Angel Martinez of Troy, TX. She is preceded in death by her husband Charles and a great-grandson Zane Martinez. A committal service will take place on Thursday, April 16, 2015 at 11:00am at Hillcrest Cemetery in Temple.
