Edna T. Young, age 96, of Temple died Friday October 16, 2009 in a Temple hospital. Services will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, October 21 at Meadow Oaks Baptist Church with Rev. Lillian Hinds officiating. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery. Visitation will be 6:00 - 8:00 PM Tuesday at Scanio-Harper Funeral Home. Mrs. Young was born on April 4, 1913 in Bell County to Thomas Jefferson and Myrtle Louise (Prater) Taylor. She was a longtime resident of Temple. She was a member of Meadow Oaks Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ray G. Young, a brother, Robert Taylor and sister, Maureen Ivie. Survivors include several nieces and nephews.
