
Edward "Eddie" Ford, 86, of Troy, died Wednesday, February 28, 2007 in a Temple hospital. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, March 3, 2007 at the Troy United Methodist Church with Rev. Wade Killough officiating. Burial will follow in the Bartlett City Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be held Saturday at the church from 9:00 a.m. until service time. Mr. Ford was born September 14, 1920 in Holland, Texas to William F. and Mary Ann Haley Ford. He was a graduate of Temple High School in 1938. He was a veteran of World War II having served in the 36th Division, 143rd Infantry Company D of the United States Army, in the European Theater. Mr. Ford worked for 38 years with a public utilities company in Houston, Texas. He was a member of the Troy United Methodist Church, the Men's Christian Fellowship of Troy, the senior citizens dance group, the American Legion Post 133 and the Veterans of Foreign Wars. Survivors include two daughters, Toni Patricia Dufrene of Metairie, Louisiana and Linda Ford Masera of Houston, Texas; one son, Edward Lamar Traylor of Houston, Texas; 9 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; faithful life companion Grace Allison.
