Enna was born on May 14, 1943, in Searcy County, Arkansas to William F. Crow and Cassie Ermal Stump Crow. She grew up during challenging economic times, which shaped her lifelong appreciation for resourcefulness, creativity, and gratitude for God’s provision.
On September 11, 1959, Enna married her devoted husband, Thomas J. Adams. Together they shared 66 years of marriage, walking hand in hand through life with faith as their foundation.
From this union were born three sons: Tommy Adams, Daren Adams, and Ridgley Adams.
Enna worked as a cosmetologist and later owned her own floral business, where her creativity and eye for beauty flourished. She had a special gift for turning ordinary things into something beautiful.
Gardening was also one of her greatest joys—she had an incredible green thumb and delighted in growing fruits and vegetables that nourished her family. Family meals and gatherings brought her great happiness.
Enna and Tom were commissioned by the Home Mission Board of the Southern Baptist Convention as Missionaries to the Deaf, faithfully serving as interpreters at state and national Southern Baptist Convention meetings. Enna was a devoted follower of Christ and a faithful witness, always willing to share the love and hope of the Gospel.
As a pastor’s wife, she served faithfully over a 45 year period in several churches in multiple states including Washington, Oregon, Nevada, and Texas, with their last ministry assignment of planting a church in the Pendleton, TX community.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her siblings Dorsey Crow, Belva Crow, Laverne Marable, Emilie Danforth, Delbert Crow, Joyce Barnes, and Deloris Swezey; and her son Daren Adams.
She is survived by her husband Thomas J. Adams; her sons Tommy Adams and Ridgley Adams (Traci); nine grandchildren—Jared Adams (Heather), Tiffany Blok (Cameron), Morgan Mosser (Brian), T.J. Adams (Brittney), Aaron Adams (Courtney), Megan Guardado (RJ), Nathan Adams (Ashley), Jet Adams (Haley), and Joshua Adams (Sarah); thirteen great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews whom she loved.
She will be remembered for her deep faith, generous spirit, creative heart, and unwavering love for her family. We would like to thank Aspen Hospice, Avir Western Hills and Scanio-Harper Funeral Home, for providing comfort, care, and tremendous service to our family. Thank you!
