Fred was born on November 30, 1957 in Evanston, Illinois to William A. Jones and Helen Ruth Jarvis Jones. He graduated from Elk Grove High School in 1976. Fred worked for Material Transportation Company. On March 15, 1986, Fred married Kay McClendon and she preceded him in death on July 21, 2007. He was also preceded in death by his father, William A. Jones.
Survivors include him mother, Helen R. Jones of Temple; brothers, William A. Jones, III of Temple, Robert J. Jones of Lake Preston, South Dakota and Dudley Jones of Temple; sister, Ada Andrist of Bartlett, Illinois; stepsons, Scott White of Round Rock and Joshua White of Belton; stepdaughter, Shelia Gordon of Temple; partner, Robin Navejas of Temple; and eight grandchildren.
