George Henry Blasingame

George Henry Blasingame, age 93, of Temple passed away on Friday, June 26, 2020 at a local care center. He was born on February 28, 1927 in Hill County, Texas the son of John Henry and Lillian Mabel (Whitt) Blasingame.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 1, 2020 from 5:00pm – 7:00pm at Scanio-Harper Funeral Home 3110 Airport Rd. Temple, TX 76504.

A funeral service will take place on Thursday, July 2, 2020 at 10:00am at the funeral home with a burial at 2:00pm at Coolidge Cemetery in Coolidge, TX.

George was a retired educator having worked throughout the area, served his country in the United States Army and the United States Navy, was a member of the Maples Masonic Lodge #791 in Flat, TX, and a member of the Temple Seventh-day Adventist Church in Temple.

He is survived by his wife Margaret of Temple, daughters, Daphne Connell and husband Charles of Waco, Tanya Davis and husband Kent of Waco, and Kim Holt and husband Rodney of Waco, a son Chad Blasingame and wife Grace of Houston, 10 grandchildren, and 17 great-grandchildren.

George was preceded in death by his parents and sons George Whitt Blasingame and John A. Blasingame.

In lieu of flowers memorials to the Maples Masonic Lodge #791 Flat, Texas would be appreciated.
