

Inez Faulkenberry Gibson, 95, of Temple died Wednesday November 10, 2010 in a local nursing home. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday November 13, 2010 at the Scanio-Harper Funeral Home with Dr. Martin Knox officiating. Burial will follow at Bellwood Memorial Park. Mrs. Gibson was born November 13, 1914 in Hamilton County, Texas to Mart and Myrtle Wright Faulkenberry. She was a graduate of High School in Van, Texas. She lived in the Tyler, Texas area for 63 years, moving to Temple in 1978. She was the long time owner of Allen Venetian Blind Company in Tyler and was a self-employed Millinery (hat maker). She married Ray Gibson in 1978 in Temple he died in 2002. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Temple. Survivors include her son, Jerry Gibson and wife Madiene of Temple; four nieces, Mary J. Garrett, Jan F. McCarter, Molly Johnson, and Carol A. Harris; four nephews, Mark T. Faulkenberry, Jon Faulkenberry, James Faulkenberry, and Bob Walker; nine grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Lucille Walker and Wynona Roberson and two brothers, Delmer Faulkenberry and John R. Faulkenberry.
