James Alford Maddux, age 65, of Holland died Saturday, April 5, 2008 in a local nursing home. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, April 8 at Val Verde Cemetery with Rev. Chester Harrison officiating. Viewing will be from 1:00 2:00 PM at the cemetery. Mr. Maddux was born July 16, 1942 near Val Verde to Wilson Lynn and Addie Jane (Lawson) Maddux. Survivors include six brothers, Lynn Maddux of Holland, Thomas G. Maddux and wife, Billie of Temple, Joe L. Maddux and wife, Rose of Moffat, Melvin Maddux and wife, Lisa of Cleveland, Douglas M. Maddux and wife, Dot of Rogers and Wayne Jackson Maddux of Little River-Academy and numerous nieces and nephews.
