James Wayne Cheek, age 57, of Temple passed away on Tuesday, June 5, 2018 at a family home. He was born on October 13, 1960 in Baton Rouge, LA the son of Raymond and Wanda Cheek. A visitation will take place on Saturday, June 9, 2018 from 6:00 P.M. – 8:00 P.M. at Scanio-Harper Funeral Home 3110 Airport Rd. Temple, Texas 76504. Funeral services will be private. James worked for many years as a machinist for Danhil Container in Temple. He is survived by his mother Wanda Cheek of Temple, sisters, Sharon Cheek of Moody, Vickie Crawford of Manville, Denise Cheek of Temple, and Renee Cheek of Holland, and several nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his Chihuahuas Big Ears and Little Girl. James was preceded in death by his father Wayne Cheek. In lieu of flowers memorial to Kindred Hospice would be appreciated
