

Eula Jean Rush, age 73 of Temple, answered the Lord's call to come home on Sunday, August 16, 2015 following a hard, courageous battle with cancer. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Thursday, August 20, 2015 at Scanio-Harper Funeral Home with Rev. Mitchell Kleckley officiating. Burial will follow at Bellwood Memorial Park. The family will receive visitors from 5-7:00 pm Wednesday, August 19, 2015 at the funeral home. Jean was born on April 7, 1942 in Grapeland, Texas to David Lawson Kleckley and Eula Mae Davidson Kleckley. She graduated from Grapeland High School in 1960 and married Raymond Rush on July 12, 1961 in Crockett, Texas. Jean worked for Cablevision in Temple for 27 years. She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Charles, William and Guy. Survivors include her husband of 54 years, Ray Rush; daughter, Pam Rush Philips and husband Russell of Belton, Texas; a son, Keith Rush of Thailand; granddaughters, Haley and Lauren Philips of Belton, Texas, Maggie Rush of McGregor, Texas and Sarah Rush of Fredericksburg, Texas; a brother-in-law, Riley Rush of Temple, Texas as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends. Jean was loved by all for the giving, wonderful lady she was. The family would like to express their thanks to Dr. Lu and Dr. Yau for the loving and attentive care, and to everyone for the prayers and support. Memorials may be given in Jean's name to the Scott and White Vasicek Cancer Treatment Center, 2401 S. 31st Street, Temple, Texas 76508.
