

Funeral services for Jimmy Dale Cooksey, Sr., 55, of Rogers will be held at 10:00 A.M. Monday at Scanio-Harper Funeral Home with Rev. Randy Evans officiating. Burial will be in Holland Cemetery. Mr. Cooksey died Wednesday in a Temple Hospital. Mr. Cooksey was born March 21, 1961 in Temple to Curtis W. Cooksey and June Ward Cooksey. He lived in Rogers and Little River all of his life. He worked for the City of Temple in the Water Department and Sanitation Department. He also worked for Tex Blast Sandblasting and operated a service station. He had been a member of Little River Volunteer Fire Department and was a member of Rogers Volunteer Fire Department, Central Texas Sportsman Club and Little River Catfish Association. He was a member of Dyess Grove Baptist Church and also attended First Baptist Church of Holland. Mr. Cooksey was preceded in death by his father Curtis Cooksey and by his son Jimmy Dale Cooksey, Jr. Survivors include his wife LuAnn Malbraaten Cooksey; two daughters April Farmer of Rogers and Desiree Frieden of Nolanville; his mother June Cooksey Hogan of Gatesville; two brothers Larry Cooksey of Temple and Bobby Cooksey of Gatesville and four grandchildren Rachel Farmer, Taylor Farmer, Sierra Frieden and Bella Frieden and cousin Lana Peteete of Temple. Visitation will be from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Sunday at Scanio-Harper Funeral Home.
