He proudly served during the Vietnam War as a combat infantryman receiving many honors including the Purple Heart. He taught Commercial Construction at TSTC in Waco from 1983 through 1989. Mr. Massey retired from the Central Texas Veterans Health Care System in 2011.
He is survived by the love of his life, his wife, Diana Massey; his children, James Massey, Todd (Vickie) Adams, Jason Massey and Joni Moore; his grandchildren, Kelsey (Brady) Hudson, Kensy (Kully) Reynolds, Kloey Massey, Hudson Moore, Presley Moore, Mychael (Vanessa) Adams, Brittanie Mead (David) and Breayona Adams; and seven great grandchildren.
Mr. Massey loved to read, play golf, fish, ride horses, and most days you could find him restoring his classic car and pickup until his health prevented him from enjoying these things. In his younger days, he was a team roper and was really always a cowboy at heart. Oh, the stories he could tell!
