Joy always made our group so happy and fun at THS. She was a great teacher and friend to all. She will be greatly missed

To Joy's family I send my heartfelt condolences on Joy's passing.    She had a wonderful gift of working with people, and more importantly, she was never shy about showing her enthusiasm for life.  I have such fond and happy memories of teaching English  with her at Temple High School.  She was a terrific person.  RIP Joy!

Joy White was true to her a name: a JOY! Her strength and grace impressed and her ready smile was a pleasure to behold.

Please accept my sincere sympathy in the loss of your loved one. At a sad time as this, the Bible gives us comfort at Revelation 21:3,4 where God promises to eliminate sickness, sorrow and death.  What a wonderful time when we no longer have to face these enemies. I hope this scripture gives you some consolation.

I am so sorry for your loss.  Joy was a wonderful teacher and person.   I knew her from school and church.  She was a joy to be around.

Joy was one of the first people I met after moving to Temple. In fact, she interviewed me for an English position at THS.  She was a dedicated teacher, mother, grandmother, and friend to so many.

You are an amazing teacher to many and be truly miss. 

Joy White was a wonderful and dedicated teacher.  Our son, BRANDON, had her in the late 90’s.  She even taught him to play spades during their lunch breaks.  She went above and beyond to help her students.  Many students and parents were touched by her as an educator.  May she RIP.

I am so blessed to have know Mrs. White. I worked with her at Temple High School and everytime, without fail, I was having a bad day I would see her and her smile and it would remind me of why I was a teacher. Mrs. White was the teacher who always had a smile and would pull out no stops to ensure we understood what she was teaching us. Lifting her family up in prayer. RIP Mrs.White

You were one of my favorite teachers! Your spirit and personality filled the room with smiles and laughter. You were always kind and understanding and I am so greatful for all of the lives you were able to touch through your teaching. You Will truly be missed! Heaven is so much brighter with you there!

Joy White was truly one of a kind.  Her spirit and dedication to the students of Temple was evident in everything she did.  I have many memories of her as a teacher, but one of my favorites is her calming effect on students who were "sheltering in place" during the Jarrell tornado.  She led the students who were huddled in the hall way in a sing-song to keep them calm and unafraid while we waited.  She will be greatly missed and always remembered as a caring and nurturing TEACHER.  Prayers to all of her loved ones during this difficult time.

She was a wonderful person and teacher and is another reason I am a teacher today. I loved her class and even had been in a book club she had started. Many prayers for her family.

I never had Mrs. White as a teacher, but I worked with her briefly as a member of the English department at THS. She was always exuberant and ready to share her winning smile with students and teachers alike. I'm sorry to hear of her passing and will keep her and her family in our prayers.

May Joy's "wildcat" spirit live on ~ prayers for all of the White-Mays-Wright family. Rest in His heavenly peace, sweet Joy.

Sadden to hear of the passing of Mrs. White.  My condolences to her Family and many Friends.  Joy was a wonder to work with during my time at Temple High School.  One can’t help but recall her spirit and devotion to her students, and her untiring spirit during Pep Rallys.  My thoughts and Prayers are with you, and Pray that Our Lord and Savior sustains each of you in the days ahead.

I definitely remember Joy from High School.  She was such a sweet, caring person.  Was not a surprise to see she became a teacher.
