

Lawrence “Larry” Lee Peaslee, 76, of Troy, Texas, passed away on November 1, 2024. Born on January 5, 1948, in Pittsburg, Pennsylvania, Lawrence was known for his tireless work ethic, never one to sit still for long. He served with distinction in the Air Force at Webb AFB in Big Spring, Texas, a significant chapter in his life where he also met his beloved wife, Carolyn Ann Peaslee. They married on November 20, 1971, and shared a loving life together, blessed with children Jay Peaslee, Jamy Peaslee, and Kimberly Peaslee, and six grandchildren who brought immense joy to his life.
Lawrence's career as a paint and auto body worker defined much of his professional life, eventually owning his own business. His passion extended beyond his work; he was an avid car enthusiast, always eager to work on cars and enjoyed relaxing with a Coors Light.
He is survived by his loving wife, Carolyn Peaslee; sons, Jay Peaslee and wife Jackie, and Jamy Peaslee and wife Krystin, and daughter Kimberly Peaslee; brothers, Robert "Bob" Peaslee, Thomas "Tom" Ferman, and Richard "Rick" Peaslee; and his six grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Henry Peaslee and Marjorie Dell (Groom) Ferman, stepfather Thomas Samuel Ferman, and brothers Kenneth "Ken" Peaslee and Ronald "Ron" Ferman.
A Visitation will be held on Monday, November 4, 2024, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Scanio-Harper Funeral Home. In line with his wishes, no formal funeral services will be held.
