Lee Lundy

Lee Lundy, age 81, of Temple, died February 25, 2019 at his residence. Services will be held at 10:00am Friday, March 1, 2019 at Immanuel Baptist Church with Dr. Ron Milne officiating. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery. The family will receive visitors from 5-7:00pm Thursday, February 28, 2019 at Scanio-Harper Funeral Home.

Wesley Lee Lundy was born on July 8, 1937 in Marion, Virginia to the late Paul Wesley Lundy and Beatrice Harris Lundy. He attended schools in Chilhowie, Virginia. Lee married Regina Schiller on November 8, 1967 in Temple. In 1961, Lee moved to Temple where he was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church for over 50 years and taught four-year-old children in Sunday school for over 40 years. He also worked in the church library. Lee owned Lundy Masonry for many years, the last 44 years alongside his son. He loved fishing, gardening, attending flea markets, wood working, camping, going to the beach. He also loved going to Branson, Missouri. Lee put God first in his life and instilled that trait in his children and grandchildren as well as all he met. He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, Jimmy, Kenneth and Joe Lundy.

Survivors include his loving wife of 51 years, Regina Lundy of Temple; children, Pam Bridges and husband Ken of Morgan’s Point Resort, Wesley Lundy and wife Brenda of Rogers, Rhoda Roberts and special friend Richard Wright of Belton, Janet Coen and husband Dave of Flower Mound, Kendall Rudduck and husband Scott of Salado and Paula Rowland and husband Shane of Temple; grandchildren, Jeffrey Smith and wife Tosha, Brooke Simmons and husband Cody, Sherry Roberts, Brandy Simpson and husband Lance, Wesley Lundy and wife Kalee, Charity Holman and husband Dan, Bryce Dunks and wife Allison, Kalyn Dunks, Taylor Rudduck and special friend Tori Young, Joshua Gonzales, Cade Tubbs, Alyssa Legg and husband Mason, Cole Coen and wife Avery, Hannah Coen, Carson Coen, Casey Coen, Kyle Rowland, Michael Rowland and Jenna Rowland; great grandchildren, Kyleigh Klaus, Tate Simpson, Quinn Smith, Landry Lundy, Sonny Lundy, Bren Lundy, Gracie Legg and Cadence Simmons.

Pallbearers will be Mr. Lundy’s grandchildren, Jeffrey Smith, Wesley Lundy, Bryce Dunks, Taylor Rudduck, Josh Gonzales and Cade Tubbs.

Honorary pallbearers will be Romero Gonzales, Carlos Chairez, Roy Craft and Dewey Nichols.
