November 10, 2007 OBITUARY MRS. MILDRED DAVIDSON Mrs. Mildred Queen Davidson, 94, of Temple died November 8, 2007 in a Temple Care Center. Services for Mrs. Davidson will be held at 10:00 AM Tuesday November 13, 2007 at the Scanio-Harper Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Martin Knox officiating. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery in Temple. Mrs. Davidson was born in Temple the daughter of Eli Mason and Annie Gott Shepperd. She graduated from Temple High School in 1931 where she was Drum Major for the Temple High School Band. She married Walter Davidson Sr. July 15, 1936 he preceded her in death in 1987. Mrs. Davidson and her mother worked for many years in the nursery at Memorial Baptist Church. In 1958 she became a member and the founder and director of the First Baptist Church Child Development Center and served until she retired in 1978. She also was a member of the Degree of Honor. She was preceded in death by her parents her husband as well as one son Walter Davidson, Jr. a Sister Gladys Darr and by one grandson Jay Jordan. She is survived by 2 daughters Glenda Moseley and Jo Ann Jordan both of Morgan's Point Resort also by one son Paul Davidson of Arlington, Texas 6 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren. A family visitation will be held from 6 until 8 pm Monday at the Scanio-Harper Funeral Home in Temple. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials be made to the First Baptist Church Child Development Center 102 West Barton Avenue Temple, Texas 76501. Scanio-Harper Funeral Home of Temple is in charge of arrangements.
