

Mr. Silvers died Sunday in a Bremond Nursing Home.
Mr. Silvers was born Feb. 20, 1945 in Temple to N.W. (Sonny) Silvers and Lema Ralston Silvers (Crow). He married Virginia Mae Rae August 29, 1962. He was a truck driver having worked for Rockwool and several Independent operators. He lived in the Reeds Lake area all of his life. He was a member of Country Church in Little River and was a member of Temple Longhorn Riding Club.
Mr. Silvers was preceded in death by his wife Virginia Silvers, on October 17, 2019.
Survivors include two daughters Pattie Mertz and her husband Kevin of Holland and Leshia Knox and her husband Buddy of Little River-Academy; two brothers George Silvers of Reeds Lake and Jerry Neal Silvers of Denison; one sister Virginia Wendler of Holland; six grandchildren Chad Gommert and his wife Jamie, Chase Gommert and his wife Erica, Kyle Knox and his wife Paige, Brody Mertz and his wife Nikki, Kylie Mertz and Marcus Psencik and Bailey Mertz; ten great grandchildren Patrick Gommert, Cannon Gommert, Saylor Rose Gommert, Case Gommert, Taytum Mertz, Ryder Mertz, Landry Mertz, Mason Psencik, Forrest Psencik and Millie Mae Psencik.
