Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, December 23, 2025, at Scanio-Harper Funeral Home, with burial to follow at North Belton Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Monday, December 22, 2025, at Scanio-Harper Funeral Home.
Buddy was born on October 3, 1937, in Waco, Texas, to Perry T. and Irene E. (Pilgrim) Killion. He was raised in Central Texas and lived in Gholson, Waco, and Temple. Buddy graduated from Waco High School and married the love of his life, Jan Killion, on August 26, 1967, in Temple, Texas and were married for 58 wonderful years.
Buddy began his career with Safeway as a bag boy at the age of 15. Through hard work and dedication, he worked his way up to Fort Worth District Manager before retiring at the age of 40. After retirement, he pursued several interests, including ranching, real estate, and investing.
He greatly enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Buddy’s hobbies included watching sports, fishing, vacationing at the coast, playing blackjack, and investing. In his younger years, he also enjoyed yard work and playing basketball.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his sisters, Joyce Sansom and Corene Jaska; and his brothers, Lawrence Killion and Dick Jackson.
Buddy is survived by his loving wife, Jan Killion of Temple; his daughter, Shannon Baumbach and husband Douglas of Temple; his sons, Terry Killion and wife Marie of Sunrise Beach, and Bobby Killion of Austin; his stepbrother, Clifford Corley; four grandchildren, Steven Ehrlich, T. Killion, Zachary Baumbach, and Erin Baumbach; two great-grandchildren, Nolan Killion and Carter Killion; and many nieces and their families.
Pallbearers will be Terry Killion, Douglas Baumbach, Steven Ehrlich, T. Killion, Zachary Baumbach, and Nolan Killion. Honorary pallbearer will be Bobby Killion.
