Mrs. Goates was born on July 4, 1937 in Gorman, Texas to the late Albert Earl Rodgers and Hannah Gibbs Rodgers. She attended schools in Comanche county where she graduated from high school. She married Ernest “Ray” Goates and he preceded her in death on July 16, 1992. Pat loved rescuing and caring for stray animals. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Cameron. Pat was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a sister and a brother.
Survivors include her sons, Marlon Goates and Danny Goates of Temple and Kyle Goates of Belton; and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
