Randall Ray Thompson, 69, of Troy, Texas, passed away peacefully on November 22, 2025. Born on August 25, 1956, to Doyle and Viola Thompson, Randy grew up with a deep love for his community, his family, and the history that shaped them both. He was a proud father to Dewayne Thompson and wife Karrie, Shelly McCullough and husband Scott, and his daughter, Kimberly Wical. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Glenn Thompson, and his grandson Luke Wical.
Known affectionately as Poppy, Randy treasured his role as a grandfather. He leaves behind his beloved grandchildren: Holtyn Lindig, Makayla Wical, Levi Lindig, Jaidyn McCullough, Brynlee Lindig, Dylan Thompson, Dalton Thompson, Dawson Thompson, and Nash McCullough.
