Mr. Hessbrook was born in New Braunfels to Albert Hessbrook and Sarah Settlers Hessbrook. He served in the Army during World War II. He married Eva Rodriquez Nov. 4, 1973. He moved to Troy from El Campo in 1990. He worked as a police officer in Weslaco and had worked as a Deputy Constable in Hidalgo Co. He was a Catholic and a member of the American Legion Survivors include his wife Eva Hessbrook of Troy; four daughters Eliska Valenzuela of Troy, Edna Leon of San Jose, California, Lorraine Correa of Livermore, California and Sandra Hessbrook of Union City, California, one son Raymond Hessbrook Jr. of Portland, Oregon, one stepdaughter Rachel Rodriguez of Gatesville, one stepson Raul Hessbrook of Troy; two sisters Sarah Martinez of El Campo and Dora Hessbrook Nelson of Duncan, Oklahoma, ten grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren.
