
OBITUARY Robbie Walker Culp Robbie Walker Culp, 86 of Temple died May 1, 2007 in a Temple hospital. Services for Mrs. Culp will be held at 11:00 AM Friday at the Scanio-Harper Funeral Home in Temple with Dr. Jack Riley officiating, following burial services at Hillcrest Cemetery in Temple. Mrs. Culp was born in Temple the daughter of F.S. and Leila Walker. She was a graduate of Southwestern University. In the early years of her marriage, she was employed at the V.A. Hospital in Temple as well as at Fort Hood, during W.W. II. After that time she was a homemaker, avid gardener and gourmet cook. Robbie was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Temple, the City Federation of Women's Club, Antique Glass Club, Domestic Science Club, Nan Brown Garden Club, Contemporaries, and an early supporter of the Cultural Activities Center. She was preceded in death by her husband of forty years James F. Culp and one brother Frank N. Walker. She is survived by one son James F. Culp, Jr. of Morgan's Point, daughter, Joan King and son in law, Ron King of Salado, and Sister Claudia Riggin of Mobile, Alabama. Grandsons are Jeff King of Austin, Stephen King and wife Whitney of Temple, Scott King and wife Carrie of Dallas, Carey King of Austin, a great grandchild Olivia King of Dallas, and many other honorary grandchildren who knew her as Nana. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
