Ross B Barnes

Funeral services for Ross B. (R.B.) Barnes, III, 66, of Temple will be held at 10:00 A.M. Wednesday at Scanio-Harper Funeral Home with Rev. Jared Burt officiating.  Burial will be in Greathouse Cemetery. Mr. Barnes died Saturday at his residence. Mr. Barnes was born March 27, 1951 in Temple to Ross Barnes, Jr and Jackie Burnet Barnes.  He lived in Bell County all of his life.  He worked as a brick layer for Lunde Masonary, as an Instrument Technician at Scott and White Hospital and worked as an Equipment Technician for Tanglewood Medical Supplies.  He married Betty Fullick March 25, 1995 and was a member of Taylors Valley Baptist Church. Mr. Barnes was preceded in death by his parents; one brother Keith Barnes and one grandson Andrew Elliott. Survivors include his wife Betty Barnes of Temple, two daughters Dawn Huffman and her husband Cory of Huntsville and Deidra Barnes of Huntsville; two stepsons Glenn Elliott and his wife Chelo of Temple and Jason Elliott and his wife Jeannie of Temple; two brothers George Barnes of New Mexico and Gary Barnes of Lewisville; six grandchildren Alyssa Elliott, Alison Elliott, Alayna Elliott, Kandi Deegan, Madison Rekar and Shelby Cirrito. Memorials may be made to Taylors Valley Baptist Church Food Pantry. Visitation will be from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Tuesday at Scanio-Harper Funeral Home.
