Roy Alvarez, 44, of Temple, died Friday March 26, 2010 in a Temple Hospital. Services are planned for a later date. Mr. Alvarez was born in Lockney, Texas. He moved to Temple, from Washington in 2007. He married Krista Baker August 8, 2008. He served in the U.S. Army in the 101st Airborne Division and had been station in Korea. He worked as a Chef and was Catholic. Survivors include his wife Krista Alvarez of Temple; two sons Rogelio Alvarez of Washington and Gabriel Martinez of Temple; one daughter Alicia Alvarez of Washington; his father Apolinrio Alvarez of Elgin; his mother Teddy Salas Alvarez of Washington; one brother Sam Alvarez of Elgin and two sisters Syvia Alvarez of Kerrville and Maria Alvarez of Washington.
