Sutton Nicole Melancon, 2, of Troy, Texas, passed away on Wednesday, March 16, 2016. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, March 19, at the First Baptist Church in Troy, Texas. Sutton was born on December 3, 2013, in Fort Worth, to Matt and Rachel Melancon. For 2 years, Sutton lived a full and happy life with many people who loved and adored her. She was the best parts of her family with bits of everyone rolled into one beautiful girl. She was sweet and caring but the boss when she felt it was time for her to take charge. This sweet girl loved to eat cheese, loved the color pink, loved to sing with her sweet voice and most of all loved to run and play outside with no abandon. She will be sorely missed by all that had the joy of knowing her. We can all take comfort in the assurance that we will see her again in Heaven. Sutton is survived by her parents, Matt and Rachel; brother Gavin Kade Melancon; grandparents Charles and Terri Melancon, of Point and Dan and Carrie Weir of Troy; Uncle Harman Melancon and wife Lauren of Point; Aunt Sara Setzer and husband Landy, Uncle Jacob Weir, both of Troy, Aunt Jenna Hess and husband Ed of Frisco and numerous cousins. For now, in honor of Sutton and to reflect on how she lived her life, give your best to others – grace, joy, kindness and love and cherish every day.
