Thomas Stanley (Stan) Connell, age 63, of Bossier City, Louisiana died Sunday, August 5, 2012 in Bossier City. A graveside service will be held at 10:00 AM Thursday, August 9, at Hillcrest Cemetery with military honors. Visitation will be 6:00 - 8:00 PM Wednesday at Scanio-Harper Funeral Home. Mr. Connell was born October 29, 1948 in Temple to Marion Thomas Connell and Mary Marcell Childers Connell. He graduated from Airline High School in Bossier City. He was a veteran of the U. S Air Force and spent over 30 years in the Air Force Reserve where he worked at Barksdale Air Force Base in Bossier City in civil service. He was a member of A.P.A. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Calvin Connell and one sister, Reba Connell. Survivors include his wife, Brigid Quinn Connell of Bossier City, two sons, Duane Connell and wife, Bree of Colorado Springs, Colorado and Jason Connell of O'Fallon, Illinois, two sisters, Gail Shocklee and husband, Larry of Magnolia, Arkansas and Dianne Connell of Waldo, Arkansas. Also surviving are three grandchildren, Ricky Connell, Austin Connell and Aurora Connell.
