Graveside services for Virgil A. Deaver, 70, of Little River-Academy will be held at 10:00 A.M. Friday Sept. 9, 2016 at Wilson Valley Cemetery with Rev. Billy Ray Crow officiating. Mr. Deaver died Monday at his residence. Mr. Deaver was born December 16, 1945 in Temple to Virgil A. Deaver, Sr. and Melba Elizabeth McHood Deaver. He graduated from Academy High School in 1964. He married Bernice Hanusch February 20, 1970. He served in the National Guard. He worked for Grossman Ag Chem and then worked as a fireman for the Temple Fire Department for over twenty five years having retired in 1995. He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church. Survivors include his wife Bernice Hanusch Deaver of Little River-Academy; two sons Dustin Deaver of Sparks and Brandon Deaver and his wife Kristy of Woodway and one sister Wilma Easley of Little River-Academy. Visitation will be from 6:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. Thursday at Scanio-Harper Funeral Home.
