Wayne was born on September 19, 1945, in Temple, Texas, to C.L. and Ada Martha (McCuistion) Ingram.
He spent his early years in Temple before making his home in Troy. On January 9, 1982, he married Gerardette "Geri" Ann (Voigt) Ingram in Temple, and they shared many cherished years together.
Wayne's life was deeply intertwined with the railroad, a passion that defined much of who he was. His work and love for the railways shaped his character, and it was a source of pride and purpose throughout his life.
Wayne is survived by his wife Geri Ann (Voigt) Ingram; daughter, Amy (Ingram) Siller, and husband Fred; his son, Patrick Wayne Ingram, and wife Marina; and his brothers Jimmy, Charles, and Donny Ingram. He was a beloved grandfather to Heather Kremers, Krystal Saverse, Kyndal Saverse, Cory Saverse, Jackson Ingram, Lee Steward, Shelby (Yepez) Grant, and Jacob Ornelas. He also leaves behind eight great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his son Jeffrey Lynn Ingram in 2024; and grandchildren Heath Ingram and Leeanna Yepez.
Funeral services for Wayne will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, March 10, 2025, at Scanio-Harper Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Bellwood Memorial Park. Visitation will take place from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 9, 2025, at Scanio-Harper Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of your choice in Wayne's name.
