Memorial services for Willie Mae Sloan, 83, of Belton will be held on Tuesday, December 19, 2017 at 3:30 P.M. at First Baptist Church in Belton with Rev. Andy Davis officiating. Private burial will be at Bellwood Memorial Park. Mrs. Sloan died Thursday at her residence. Mrs. Sloan was born August 25, 1934 in El Paso to V.O. White and Mildred Bullard Prather. She married Mack O. Sloan in May, 1953. He preceded her in death August 2, 2011. She moved to Temple from New Mexico fifteen years ago. She was a homemaker and a member of First Baptist Church of Belton. Survivors include two sons Thom Sloan of Houston and Bob Sloan of New Mexico; one daughter Audrey Hubbard of Temple; one sister Betty Pettit of New Mexico; four grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Memorials may be made to McLane Children’s Medical Center. Scanio-Harper Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
