

Born in New Brunswick, she resided in Edison for most of her life before settling in the Holiday City community of Berkeley four years ago.
Prior to retiring, she was a clerk at Maidenform for many years. She also owned All City Shell in Edison with her husband, Robert, for over 30 years. Arlene was a lover of jigsaw puzzles and enjoyed sewing and bedazzling custom calendars, which she gave to her family and friends.
She was predeceased by her husband of 57 years, Robert, in 2012; her grandson, Bryan Brownlie in 1982; and her granddaughter, Lindsey Baumlin in 2011.
Surviving are her children: Robert Brownlie and his wife Sherrie, Debra Morris and her significant other Carl Anderson, and William Brownlie and his wife Linda; five grandchildren: Robert, Nicole, Michael, Leigh-Ann, and Kristen; nine great-grandchildren: Kaitlyn, Gianna, Michael, Kacey, Bryan, Brielle, Gracie, Liliana, and Arianna; and two step-brothers: Stephen and Frank.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, January 20, 2024 from 1-4PM at Quinn-Hopping FUneral Home, 26 Mule Road, Toms River, NJ. A funeral service will be held in conjunction with the visitation at 3:30PM. A private cremation will follow.
