

Carlos Pittaluga, aged 86, passed away on August 20, 2025, due to complications arising from cancer. He was born on March 7, 1939, in Montevideo, Uruguay. In 1975, Carlos and his wife, Gladys, immigrated to New Jersey, where they established their residence and raised their children.
Carlos was a devoted father, grandfather, brother, and friend, as well as a lifelong servant of the New Apostolic Church. He dedicated many decades of his life to ministry, profoundly impacting the lives of countless individuals with his unwavering faith, compassion, and kindness. In his leisure time, Carlos found joy in the simple pleasures of life; he cherished moments spent drinking mate by the ocean with his beloved wife, Gladys, and treasured every occasion with his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Additionally, he was a skilled woodworker, creating exquisite carvings, and he found solace in fishing whenever the opportunity presented itself.
Carlos is survived by his loving sisters, Martha and Graciela, his brother, Ruben, and his children, Julio, Adriana, Carlos (and his wife, Marie), and Silvia, along with numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and extended family members. They will continue to honor his memory in their hearts. His legacy of love, faith, and craftsmanship will endure in the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing him.
A memorial service will take place on Saturday, September 27, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at the New Apostolic Church, 5200 Megill Rd, Wall Township, NJ 07727. Following the service, a Celebration of Life lunch will be held at Vincent’s Italian Restaurant, 350 Mounts Corner Dr, Freehold, NJ 07728. Donations in Carlos' memory may be made to the New Apostolic Church.
