Cathleen T Bataille

Cathleen T. Bataille of Holiday Heights section of Berkeley Township died on December 20, 2014. Cathleen was a graduate of St. Mary’s High School, Elizabeth, NJ and a 1958 graduate of Douglass College, New Brunswick, NJ. Cathy worked in children’s clothing design for a large retail group, was a mutual funds broker and a real estate broker. Cathy was a long-time member of the League of Women Voters and remained active with social, political, and charitable organizations. She especially enjoyed spending time with her nieces and nephews teaching them how to cook or play tennis.

Cathleen is survived by her loving husband of 50 years, James; brothers John Tierney of Fanwood and James Tierney (Pattie) of St. Charles, MO., and many loving cousins, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, John and Kathryn Tierney and sister Helen Cotter.

Viewing hours will be held on Wednesday December 24, 2014 from 11AM to 3 PM and on Friday December 26, 2014 from 9 to 10 AM at Quinn-Hopping Funeral Home 26 Mule Road, Toms River, NJ 08757. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday at 10:30 AM at St. Maximilian Kolbe RC Church, Toms River. Burial will follow at Brig. Gen. Wm. C. Doyle Veteran’s Cemetery, Wrightstown, NJ In lieu of flowers please consider contributions to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society in Cathy’s name.
