

Charles H. Chambarry, 95, passed away peacefully in the comfort of his home with his daughters at his side on Thursday, October 30, 2025. Born in New York City he lived in North Bergen, NJ, Toms River, NJ, Port St. Lucie, FL before returning to Whiting, NJ in 2017.
Charles is survived by his two daughters Victoria Mimikos and Margaret Frontera, her husband Russell Frontera along with four grandchildren Russell, Dominick, Christopher, and Stephanie, and six great grandchildren Tristin, Jordana, Jayden, Dominick, Jeremiah, and Gionni. Also surviving are sisters-in-law Marina Chambarry, Camela Ledwith, Margaret Geider and husband James Walker, and brother-in-law Joseph and wife Mary Durso, along with many nephews and nieces, and great nephews and great nieces.
Charles was a Veteran of the Korean War serving four years in Germany from 1948-1952 before being honorably discharged. In 1954, he married Nancy Proscia and remained happily married for 65 years. He worked steadily in several jobs before acquiring Charisma Liquors on Kennedy Blvd., North Bergen, NJ in 1973 through 1984, before relocating to South Jersey, worked a couple of jobs before he was hired by Enterprise and stayed for 24 years before retiring to care for his wife Nancy.
Visitation will be from 10:00-11:30 am at the Quinn Hopping Funeral Home, 26 Mule Road, Toms River. A Mass of Christian burial will be offered at 12 noon at St. Maximilian Kolbe Church, 130 St. Maximilian Lane, Toms River. Entombment will follow at Ocean County Memorial Park, 1722 Silverton Road, Toms River.
