Christopher Befumo, 98, of Berkeley Township, passed away on Wednesday June 1, 2016. Born in Newark, he lived in Nutley for many years before moving to Holiday City South in 1990. He had worked as a quality control manager for General Electric Inc. retiring in 1980. Christopher was a communicant of St. Maximilian Kolbe RC Church and a trustee of the Holiday City South Clubhouse.
Christopher was predeceased by his wife Sophie in 2001. He is survived by two sons; Jeffrey and his wife Karen Befumo and Curtis Befumo; two daughters; Camille and her husband Robert Loffredo and Lenora and her husband Jim McCormick. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Visiting hours will be on Sunday June 5, 2016 from 1-3 and 6-8 PM at Quinn-Hopping Funeral Home 26 Mule Road Toms River, NJ 08755. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday June 6 at 11:30 AM at St. Maximilian Kolbe RC Church. Entombment will be at Ocean County Memorial Park, Toms River.
