Tony "Pop", "Dad", "Grandpa" Sanchez was granted his angel wings on November 21, 2015. Tony passed peacefully in his sleep at the Holiday Care Nursing Home in Toms River, NJ. He was born on April 27, 1929 in Puerto Rico.
Tony’s infectious smile, warm hugs, endless advice and “I Love Yous” brought so much joy to family. Although he was a small man, he gave us all such courage and hope and reminded us of the preciousness of life. He always smiled and laughed when meeting friends and family and had a genuine love for others. No one could ever doubt his unselfishness character where it was always about us and not about him. Tony and his wife Carmen had a love for each other that mimicked the love of teenage sweethearts.
Tony is survived by his loving wife, Carmen; children; Willy, Naida, Gladys, Jose and Valerie; 12 grandchildren and 20 great-granchildren.
