David Joseph Brower

David Joseph Brower Jr., 53, of Passaic, NJ passed away unexpectedly on Friday, October 7, 2022 in Lexington, KY. Born and raised in Passaic. Since a very young age, Dave was fascinated with Horse Racing which led him to his amazing career as an Oddsmaker/TV Host/Handicapper and Broadcaster for the Meadowlands Racetrack. He was a graduate of St. John’s University with a degree in Journalism. He truly devoted his life to the job he loved. In 2019 Dave was awarded the Phil Pines Award which recognizes his decades of outstanding media coverage in the sport of harness racing and exemplifies the spirit of his hard work and commitment to his craft. Dave was predeceased by his father David Sr., in 1993 and is survived by his loving mother, Rose Brower, his sister Laura Brower, his two nephews, Devon and Mason and a host of loving family and friends. A Celebration of Dave’s Life will be held on November 12, 2022 at the Meadowland’s Racetrack.
