Donald Cassidy

Donald F. Cassidy, 88, of Toms River, NJ passed away on Wednesday March 30th, 2016 at Community Medical Center in Toms River, NJ. Born in Newark, NJ, he resided in Newark, NJ and Maplewood, NJ prior to moving to Toms River, NJ in 1998. Donald worked for the Essex County Courts in Newark, NJ for over 45 years retiring in 1998. He was a Free and Accepted Mason, Army Veteran and a very easy going gentle man. Donald was predeceased by his first wife Elizabeth and sister Cynthia Seviles. Surviving are his loving wife of 17 years Eleanor, daughters Marilyn and husband Anthony Sappio of South Port, NC and Elaine and husband Larry McDonald of Fort Mill, SC, step-sons Michael Beland of Harrisburg, PA, Tom and wife Kathy Beland of West Rutland, VT and Richard and wife Claudia Beland of Mrytle Beach, SC, brother Edward and wife Mary Cassidy of Coral Springs, FL, sister Grace Cardell of Cedar Grove, NJ, 4 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Friday April 1st, 2016 from 6-9pm at the Quinn-Hopping Funeral Home, 26 Mule Road, Toms River, NJ 08755. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday April 2nd, 2016 at 9:30am at St. Maximilian Kolbe R.C. Church in Berkeley Township, NJ.
